The Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham) (Amendment) Order 1994

    Whereas the councils of the London boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham have each applied to the Secretary of State for an order to be made under section 76 of the Road Traffic Act 1991[1] amending an order made by him under that section, and the Secretary of State has consulted the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with section 76(2) of that Act:
    NOW, the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) and section 77(6) of the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
    Citation and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham) (Amendment) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 1st April 1994.
    Interpretation
        2.    In this Order—
      "the 1984 Act" means the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[2];

      "the 1991 Act" means the Road Traffic Act 1991;

      "the 1993 Order" means the Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham) (London Borough of Wandsworth) (Amendment) Order 1993[3]; and

      a reference to a Schedule followed by a number is a reference to the Schedule to this Order bearing that number.

    Exclusions from special parking areas
        3.—(1)  Those areas in the London borough of Bromley referred to in Schedule 1 shall cease to form part of the special parking area designated by article 4(1)(a) of the 1993 Order.

        (2)  Those areas in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham referred to in Schedule 2 shall cease to form part of the special parking area designated by article 4(1)(b) of the 1993 Order.

        (3)  Those areas in the London borough of Lewisham referred to in Schedule 3 shall cease to form part of the special parking area designated by article 4(1)(c) of the 1993 Order.

        (4)  The modifications of the 1984 and 1991 Acts contained in articles 5 and 6 of the 1993 Order shall cease to have effect in relation to the areas referred to in Schedules 1, 2 and 3.
