The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2(2) of the Land Registers (Scotland) Act 1995^[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation
    1.    This Order may be cited as the Land Registers (Scotland) Act 1995 (Commencement) Order 1996.

Appointed Day
    2.    The Land Registers (Scotland) Act 1995 shall come into force on 1st April 1996.
