The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 9 of the Great Seal (Offices) Act 1874[1], and with the concurrence of the Treasury, makes the following Order: - 1.This Order may be cited as the Crown Office Fees Order 2003, and shall come into force on 17th February 2003. 2.The fees set out in column 2 of the Schedule to this Order shall be taken in the office of the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery in respect of the matters described in column 1. 3.The Crown Office Fees Order 1999[2] is revoked. (This note is not part of the Order) This Order revokes and replaces the Crown Office Fees Order 1999. The following fees taken in the office of the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery are increased:
The fee for the determination of an abeyance of a Barony, for which a Writ of Summons is no longer required, is decreased from £150 to £130. Notes: [1]1874 c. 81.
